£33,350 for Link to the Wild

26 March 2026

We’ve got some brilliant news to share from our Link to the Wild fundraising initiative — and it’s all thanks to you.

In 2025, we raised an incredible £33,350 together, a huge jump from £24,300 in 2024. That’s more support for wildlife, more support for communities, and more impact where it matters most.

So, where is that funding going in 2026?

From daily wildlife monitoring to community education and rescue work closer to home, your support is helping our charity partners get stuck into some vital work this year.

At the Bulindi Chimpanzee and Community Project, we’re donating £6,300. This helps fund two full-time chimp monitors, Tom and Johnmary, who are out in the forest seven days a week protecting chimpanzees. The remaining funding supports a school sponsorship programme for children living alongside chimp habitats – with over 100 children supported each term.

Over at VulPro, we’re donating £5,150, helping to cover medical costs for injured vultures, including essential surgeries as part of their rehabilitation work.

For Barbary Macaque Awareness and Conservation, £2,300 will help keep their Land Rover on the road. It might not sound glamorous, but without it, their team simply couldn’t reach the macaques they work to protect.

In Madagascar, Feedback Madagascar will receive £3,000 to build on its Treemad programme with a fresh approach to environmental education – using theatre, cartoon characters and community events to make learning about forests and habitat protection engaging and accessible.

The Namibian Lion Project will receive £2,300, supporting GPS tracking, early-warning systems to reduce conflict with farmers, and increased ranger presence on the ground.

Following heavy rains earlier this year, the Black Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit will receive £2,300 to help repair roads and maintain vehicles so their team can continue vital patrols day and night.

Closer to home, and new to Link to the Wild this year, Caithness Seal Rehabilitation and Release will receive £9,000 – enough to cover their entire fish bill for the entire year! That means every seal in their care can be fed and supported through rehabilitation until they’re ready to return to the wild.

We’re also supporting the Bumblebee Conservation Trust with £1,000, helping them continue vital work monitoring wild bee populations, restoring habitats and inspiring the next generation through education programmes.

In Chile, Sphenisco will receive £1,000 to support environmental education and advocacy work focused on protecting Humboldt penguins and their habitat.

And through the Wildcat Conservation Alliance, £1,000 will contribute to international conservation efforts for Amur tigers, including projects focused on improving habitat connectivity across the China–Russia border.

Every single one of these projects is a piece of a much bigger picture.

And what makes Link to the Wild so special is that it’s a shared effort. Every visit, every contribution, every decision to get involved adds up to something meaningful.

In short, this is your impact. And it’s a powerful one.
