Valais Blacknose sheep

Let's learn

These endearing little sheep are mainly bred for their meat and wool. Their soft white fleece grows quickly and is used in many products, including carpets, mattress stuffing and felting. In their natural home of Switzerland, Valais Blacknose sheep graze in the mountains on stony pastures. They have a very friendly and playful nature, so are a firm favourite in the Pet’s Farm here at Blairdrummond.
