This weekend, we’re putting the spotlight on one of our most iconic residents – the mighty rhino! To celebrate World Rhino Day, we’ll be setting up outside the rhino house with a day full of fun, learning, and the chance to win some amazing prizes.
What’s happening?
• Tombola: Try your luck and you could win a range of rhino-themed prizes, including the ultimate treat – a ‘large mammal experience’! You could be in with the chance to meet either our rhinos or giraffes – depending on how they are feeling on the day!
• Colouring station: Bring the little ones along for some creative fun at our rhino-themed colouring station. Perfect for sparking young imaginations and keeping them entertained!
• Interactive activities: Learn more about rhinos through a range of hands-on activities. From fun facts to the important role rhinos play in conservation, there’s something for all ages.
Every penny raised on the day will go straight to our Link to the Wild fundraising initiative, helping to protect these incredible creatures and their habitats. Through Link to the Wild, we support rhinos in the wild by donating to The Black Mambas, an all-female anti-poaching unit.
Here at Blair Drummond Safari Park, we’re incredibly proud to be part of the European breeding programme for rhinos, and we’ve got some special rhino residents of our own to celebrate. By joining us for Rhino Weekend, you’ll not only have a great day out but also play a part in supporting the future of this incredible species.
