HalloWILD’s Grand Finale

22 October 2025

This weekend marks the final weekend of our HalloWILD event, and we’re going all out with some extra-special additional activities:

Fancy dress competition – 25th and 26th October

Join us in the Safari Marquee at 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday for our much-anticipated fancy dress competition. Whether you’re planning to come as a creepy creature, a mini monster, or your favourite animal with a spooky twist, we can’t wait to see your creations.

There’ll be fantastic prizes up for grabs, including gift vouchers for the park, family passes, and cuddly toys. And that’s not all – every participant will receive a token for one of our amusement rides, just for taking part.

The competition will be judged across three age categories: 0–6 years, 7–12 years, and 13+ years. To help everyone know what to expect (and to avoid any spooky surprises afterwards), here’s how our judges will be scoring.

We’ll be awarding points within three categories:

  • Originality – the more unique and imaginative, the more points you’ll earn.
  • HalloWILD – extra points for costumes that celebrate wildlife.
  • Sustainability – costumes that are kind to our planet will be rewarded, so think reused or recycled materials as part of your design.

Spooky activities for all ages

Our Education Team has been busy brewing up a host of hands-on activities for the weekend. We’ll have colouring sheets and self-led crafts using pinecones, plus a display of real animal skulls and artefacts. You can also take part in:

  • Beasts of Blair Drummond – taken from a local pond, identify the different organisms and animals that call the water home.
  • Bat calls – press the buttons and explore the calls of four bat species native to the UK.
  • What colour is blood? – guess which colour belongs to which group of animals and learn about the fascinating proteins that make it that way.
  • Pebble pledges – make your own environmental pledge and learn how small actions can help conserve important species.

A weekend to remember

This Halloween weekend promises to be packed with excitement, creativity, and a touch of magic. Whether you’re joining in the fancy dress fun, getting crafty with our spooky activities, or simply soaking up the festive atmosphere, we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

We hope to see you soon – and don’t forget your costume!
