Response to recent incident
Blair Drummond Safari Park Statement
We are aware of a social media post regarding an incident at the park on the 2nd of April 2025. The safety and well-being of our visitors, especially children, is always our top priority.
Our team responded immediately when concerns were raised, speaking to the individuals involved and offering to contact the police on their behalf. However, the individuals making the accusations refused to call the police when given the opportunity to do so. Since the incident, we have been in contact with the police ourselves to ensure that any necessary investigation can take place.
Visitors are permitted to take photos and videos in public areas, and as an open, family attraction, it is impossible for us to monitor every single visitor at all times. If a visitor has a concern about another guest’s behaviour, it is their right and responsibility to contact the relevant authorities. We are happy to cooperate fully with any official investigation, but we are not a law enforcement body.
We want to reassure all our visitors that we have measures in place to ensure the park remains a safe and enjoyable place for families. Our staff maintain a constant presence and are trained to respond to concerns appropriately. We always encourage visitors to report any issues to a member of our team immediately so we can take swift action.
Unfortunately, we have seen deeply troubling messages in response to this post, including racist and xenophobic comments. Let us be absolutely clear: Blair Drummond Safari Park does not tolerate racism or discrimination in any form. Everyone is welcome at our park, regardless of appearance, nationality, or background.
Our commitment remains to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all. Thank you for your understanding.
