If you’re a Radio 1 listener, then you’ll know that Breakfast Show DJ Greg James has been on a bit of a mission lately. In order to win back his radio show, he was tasked with completing a Giant Jigsaw Challenge, collecting 20 giant puzzle pieces from across the UK.
What’s this got to do with our lemurs, I hear you ask? Well, one of these elusive jigsaw pieces found its way into Lemur Land here at the park. Our lemurs were certainly very curious about the new addition and were busy playing with it when two of our visitors Mylo Forsyth and his dad Matthew spotted it.
When Newsbeat presenter Calum Leslie came rushing over to collect it, we treated everyone to some hand-feeding with the lemurs. Callum then took the (only slightly chewed) jigsaw piece back to Greg in Brighton where the puzzle was eventually assembled.
Our lemurs would like to take this opportunity to apologise to Mr James, and congratulate him on completing his challenge. Lead spokeslemur Bemba said:
“Sorry Mr DJ Greg for chewing your jigsaw piece, but you did leave it in our enclosure, and we’re a naturally curious species. Well done for finding all the pieces – that was some great foraging!”
