Climb aboard our brand-new train and enjoy a 10-minute scenic ride through the park. Winding through the forest and along the lakeside, this gentle journey is the perfect way to sit back, relax, and take in the sights and sounds of Blair Drummond.
A relaxing journey through nature
As you travel around the lake, you’ll pass a variety of habitats, and you never know what you might spot along the way!
Keep an eye out for:
- Beautiful natural scenery and peaceful woodlands
- Highland cattle grazing in the fields
- Lemurs exploring their treetop home
- Native wildlife like herons, deer, and red squirrels
- Chimps on their island, if they’re out and about
While animal sightings aren’t guaranteed, there’s always something interesting to see!

- Tickets: £1.50 per person (members receive a 10% discount)
- Onboard audio shares fun facts about the animals and their habitats
- No booking required! Trains leave the station approximately every 15 minutes so you’ll never have long to wait for the next one.

Chimp Island update
If you’ve visited before, you might notice that Chimp Island looks a little different right now. We’ve temporarily drained the lake while we build a new secondary bridge connecting the island to the chimp house. This exciting addition will give our chimps even more freedom to explore their habitat once the work is complete.
Although the chimps aren’t on the island at the moment, they’re still here at the park – just enjoying some extra time in their house while we make these improvements!
