Train

You might notice a bit of construction work going on around the park. This is our new safari train adventure. The train will wind through the forest and along the lakeside to Chimp Island, giving brilliant views of our chimps in their habitat.

You’ll be able catch the train from a purpose-built station at the gift shop. The route circles the lake and next year, you’ll have access to audio info about all our resident animals, as well as the native species that live in the surrounding countryside.

The train will be ready for its first festive journey on the 30th of November as part of our Christmas Spectacular event.  Hop aboard ‘Santa’s Secret Railway’ for a behind-the-scenes peek at the North Pole! As you journey through the park, you’ll hear the enchanting tale of how Santa prepares for Christmas Day. Trains depart throughout the day and are subject to availability. The last train of the day will leave the station at 2.45pm.
